In our meditation classes we will learn basic principles of meditation to develop a successful session in and outside of class. We will practice being in the present moment, so we can have more of these moments throughout our day. We develop the skill of watching the thoughts flow through the mind without becoming hooked or attached to them by our emotions.
We will examine and establish the yogic breath (rhythmic breathing pattern), perform four essential purification pranayama (breathing) exercises that clear and calm the mind and tone various organs of the body. We will also perform restorative poses that then lead us into meditation. Consistent practice will transform your life and bring you more joy as you apply these mindful principles in your daily life.
