Born in New Orleans Louisiana, Amy Gage Yildizli studied at the University of Washington in Seattle before moving to Turkey in 1999. While in Seattle Amy completed training to become a DONA certified Doula with the amazing Penny Simkin and the Seattle School of Midwifery, she also trained to be a postpartum Doula and a childbirth educator. Amy’s passion for Pilates began in 2004 and led her to complete the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Course in Athens, Greece in 2009. After completion of her certification training, Amy went on to complete pre and postnatal Pilates training with Carolyne Anthony and the Center for Women’s Fitness in Costa Mesa, California.

She has continued her training and attended many workshops and seminars. In October on 2012 she had the privilege of attending the BASI mentor program taught by Rael Isacowitz the founder of BASI. In 2014 she became a certified Buff Bones Instructor, Buff Bones is a medically-endorsed workout that combines Pilates, functional movement, strength training, and therapeutic exercise with bone-strengthening and balance techniques to optimize the health and safety of your bones. Amy also completed a course with Anthony Lett and Innovations in Pilates which focuses on flexibility development within the Pilates repertoire. She also is a certfied instructor on the Core Align, a newer apparatus designed by a Physical Therapist that takes the Pilates principles into an upright and dynamically challenging position.

Amy recently completed two of a four part series of week long workshops by Madeline Black, author of the “Centered”. These workshops focused on fascia release and alignment using Pilates in 2020 she hopes to continue this part of her journey. This year she has attended a conference in London by James DiSilva and Madeline Black on fascia, articulation and bone.


Alaina grew up on the Great Plains of Kansas and relocated from Los Angeles, CA to New Orleans in 2014.  Alaina has over 15 years of teaching experience. She is certified through Core Dynamics Pilates in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and trained by Michele Larsson, a protege of Eve Gentry. This program focuses on Pre-Pilates exercises and specializes in relief from chronic pain as well as classical exercise programing for the healthy body.  These Pilates principals became immensely important to Alaina just a few years after receiving her certification when she experienced a sudden and severe back injury. Applying the Pilates concepts, being patient and listening to the body’s guidance she was able to recover, heal and rebuild the confidence and agility of her body.

Alaina teaches the Pilates method of movement with the intention to decompress the joints and create an ease of movement throughout the body; with the practice of mindful rhythmic movements that are exhilarating when performed properly.  It is a way to self-discovery and adventure! 


Jessica Tzur has a love and fascination for movement. She found an outlet for this in Pilates and she hopes to share these feelings with her clients. Jessica has been a Balanced Body Certified Pilates Instructor since 2009, originally drawn to Pilates as a way to deal with her personal injuries and improve her own movement abilities. Jessica continues to learn different skills and specialties to expand the client population that she can share her love of movement. Some of the things she is trained to work with include pre/postnatal, osteoporosis, athletes and performing artists and more.

Jessica strives to help you find your joy in movement, whether that means the ability to move through daily tasks in a pain-free way or to execute demanding physical movements with precision. Jessica also professionally pursues physical prowess as an aerialist and acrobat as is delighted by most physical challenges. She looks forward to the opportunity to help you feel like your strongest self.


Noelle Niegsch, born in raised in Brockport, New York, began her love for movement with dance at a young age, and has loved movement ever since. Noelle believes a whole body-mind connection is key to supporting a happy and healthy life, and is achievable for everyone. 

Noelle has worked with a variety of clients from 10 to 90 years of age addressing muscular imbalances, back pain, disc herniation, scoliosis, stenosis, osteoporosis, injury prevention and management, as well as health and fitness maintenance. She is also well versed in pre- and post-natal protocols. Noelle provides sessions that are personalized, informative, and fun!

Before teaching Pilates, Noelle attended the State University of New York at Fredonia where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance along with a minor in Sports and Exercise Science. During her time at Fredonia, she was introduced to Pilates and cultivated an interest to study it further. After graduating, Noelle moved to New York City to pursue her love of movement and to begin her professional career.

In New York, Noelle received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification from Erika Bloom Pilates and then continued on to teach at the Erika Bloom Pilates flagship studio in the heart of Manhattan. She was also a part of ASHA Dance Company for three years where she brought her knowledge of Pilates to her fellow company members to ensure their bodies stayed strong and supported through the rigors of rehearsals and performances. Continuing education and ever broadening her knowledge by engaging in the Pilates community is immensely important to Noelle. Now a resident of New Orleans, Noelle is excited to begin this new chapter at Crescent City Pilates and learn all that the New Orleans Community has to offer! When she’s not in the studio, Noelle enjoys balancing adventure and relaxation with her husband and their cavalier, Ellie!


Janine Theodore is a dedicated practitioner of Classical Ashtanga Yoga and is committed to excellence in teaching Yoga and in preserving the Classical tradition in her lessons.  She received her Teacher’s Training Education Certificate in Trimbak, India at the Yoga Vidya Gurukul and placed First Class With Distinction. She also studied Yoga’s spiritual principles for many years with Baba Hari Dass in Santa Cruz, California. At CCP she will be teaching yoga and meditation.

Ashtanga Hatha Yoga Level One – Restorative

B-Me-Yoga – We will begin class with Pranayama (Yogic breathing techniques) to cleanse, then settle into Yoga Asana Postures that are gentle, yet challenging and restorative.  We will finish our session with sitting in mindful Meditation.  A great class to refresh body, mind, spirit and intellect.


Debbie has a B.S. in Chemistry and worked in various areas of research for
25 years.  She also taught high school physical science.  Debbie started
Pilates after a knee injury.  She has since been certified in Core Mat I and
Core Mat II through Power Pilates and is currently working on Comprehensive certification.  

Having been a student at Crescent City Pilates for over 5
years, Debbie is excited to join the staff sharing the philosophy that movement


Julie LaBerge was born and raised along the beaches of South Carolina and spent her teens in Georgia. Julie received her masters from the University of Mississippi in Oxford and now calls NOLA home. Julie fell in love with yoga 5 years ago. She has practiced many different styles over the years and in 2019 became certified to teach Baptiste Power Yoga. 

Julie is passionate about the connection between physical health and mental health. She strives to empower others through the practice of yoga to feel powerful on their mat and in their daily lives. Julie teaches yoga that focuses just as much on strength as it does flexibility. She strives to take you to your edge, disrupt the drift of your daily life, and help you connect your mind and body.


Owner Ric Stewart acquired Crescent City Pilates in early 2019 and holds true to our founder’s vision of offering top notch pilates, while expanding CCP into new areas of holistic health and well being. With lifelong back issues, and 34 years of yoga experience, Ric sought the mobility with stability offered by Pilates as the ultimate way to achieve and maintain mind-body balance. Keeping the customer’s point of view close to heart, Ric looks forward to serving the local community further by offering mat pilates, meditation, yoga and other sought after modalities. In this way, and via events which share knowledge, art and culture with our neighbors, CCP can remain a vital source of the inspiration we all seek in our daily lives.

An alumnus, professor and DJ at Tulane, Ric has deep New Orleans and Gulf Coast family ties stretching back over 120 years, and knew what it meant to miss New Orleans when living on the West Coast. A digital music entrepreneur, he has worked closely with artists for over a quarter century – currently via the Blues Center, an interactive roots music discovery brand.
